Unpainted photos for Skyfall’s upgrade parts!

Video showing the lightup feature.

Wanted to share painted prototype photos of my first project I’ll be releasing. Its a show accurate style Energon Axe for G1 Prime.  Someone asked me about recreating the reissue axe for them.  I decided to give it a shot, and made two versions. I originally wanted an axe for myself anyways, but one that was accurate to the cartoon design.

Below are painted versions of the prototypes. They have a rough texture to them, due to the way their created. The final axes will be smoother, and come in translucent orange. Right now, this is just to show the prototypes. My G1 Prime is MIA, and I’ve kept my New Year Convoy MISB. So G2 Prime had the honors to showcase the axe.

Here is a look at the in hand prototype parts for Blaster’s upgrade.  Better photos coming soon.

New update for 2010 on this project. I’ve designed two new weapons for Megatron. A laser-saber, from the G1 movie. I gave the handle my own design. I also gave him an updated sword, based off the G1 toy. The blade is more similar to the original, but with different details. The handle itself is my own design. Bad quality photos, but I’ll update the thread when I paint up the two weapons.

Wanted to show the progress of a project I’ve been working on. Its an upgrade for Universe Blaster, the Cybertron Soundwave repaint. I felt he really deserved a new head, instead of the repaint Soundwave head.  I ended making two helmets.  One G1 style, and one to match the angular, Cybertron style body.  Both helmets can have different faces attached and removed, along with a flip down visor.  The new gun is a update based off the G1 design.  The guitar and Steeljaw were made for fun.  Photo of the 3d composition taken from Seibertron.com.

Got the prototypes in hand today, after UPS decided to make me wait for them over the weekend.

The prototype for the classics axe came in today.   Along with a part I made, to convert the wind-vane into a shield.

Update on Skyfall. I finished his sniper rifle. Also did a mockup render on a photo of the figure. It seems I have to go back and do some measuring and make sure he can bend his arms with the rifle.  Photo taken from Seibertron.com.

Finished the head for Skyfall. Below are some renders showing it off in color, and the actual assembly on the neck joint.

Someone pointed out that the G2 Skyjack head was narrower at the bottom. After looking up photos, I adjusted the visor area to match it closer. The left one is the original design, and the right one is the modified.
