RF-004 Security Chief

Here are early prototype photos of the upcoming RF-004 Security Chief upgrade kit, due out at the end of February.  This prototype shown is from early December.  So the obvious issues have been addressed, like the larger sized head sculpt, which is now smaller, and will allow for transformation.  The shoulder rocket has also been given articulation.  The kit will come in two versions.  A larger run, with a Red head.  And a smaller run with Black heads. Other details are being worked out.  Stay tuned for final design photos next month.

Online Ordering

A experimental ordering page has been put up.  The link can be found at the top of the page.  Currently, all RF-003 DJ Rockblast kits are available, with 20 sets each, and ship out between 5-8 days after payment is received.

As well, if you are just interested in the weapons, the RW-001 weapons set is available as well now.  This weapons pack comes with a off-black version of the Electro Rifle, a mini black rifle, and second random colored mini rifle.

General update

Due to overwelming preorders for the RF-003 DJ Rockblast kit, I haven’t been updating this site, as my priority was to ship all all preorders.  As I have now wrapped up shipping them, I’ll take some time this week to implement a test page, that will allow you to order kits from here directly.  Expect the update by Friday.

Also, if you have sent an email, and not gotten a response, please accept my apology.  I will try to reply back by mid week to all emails that have not been answered.

RF-003 – Updated photos…

Here are some updated photos of the RF-003 set.  In the last photo, I had not pushed the neck plate on the figure, fully down.  This resulted with the head being higher up.  These new photos show it in the correct position.

At the moment, there are around 60 Full sets left, 80 Cyber Sets left, and 80 Retro sets left.  I will begin contacting Seibertron.com and Allspark.com members tonight, on the waiting list.

Preorders

I am currently taking preorders with TFW2005 members who are on the waiting list.  Since the project originated there, a year ago, it is only fair they get first dibs.  Once I have filled that list, I will move on to members from Seibertron.com, and Allspark.com.  Afterwards, I will try to create a web store here to sell directly, to those of you not members on any of those TF fan sites.

Starting with this release, all items will be cast in a higher quality, and stronger resin!  No more worries about parts breaking.  This new resin is like regular plastic basically.

More RF-002 Kits coming!

For those worried that the RF-002 upgrade kit has been sold out, I would like to share news that a new batch will be made sometime in February!  So far, close to 200 out of 350 kits have been sold for the main set.  The new batch will be made in a higher quality resin.  Also, there are plans to remove all QC issues which the first two batches had, along with a better fitting for the helmet parts.  Stay tuned for more news in the coming months.

A friendly reminder…

With the recent RF-003 upgrade being featured on several TF fansites, I thought it would be a good time to remind established Renderform fans, and anyone new who just heard about this garage kit entity.  Renderform is not a “3rd party company”.  The Renderform projects and products are all made by one single person, from his home.  All items are hand made.  So please do not expect factory quality from my products.  However, at the same time, I do my best to put the best possible product out, that I am capable of.  As well, I do my best to price the items as reasonable as possible.  But with reality, it will never please everyone.  So I keep in mind that my stuff is for specific group of TF collectors and fans. 🙂

Look for a new update on the RF-003 kit this week.  Along with final pricing and set breakdown.

RF-003 Backpack blast part

Here are photos of the first prototype of the backpack piece, which will be included with the RF-003 sets.  This piece’s main purpose is to hold the electro rifle on the figures back, like in the G1 comics.  It can also hold the stock weapons as well.  And doubles as its own gun.  Attachment in jet mode will be confirmed with the final test casting.
